GRAMMAR 1



                   SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
                   •   We  use  the  simple  present  tense  to  talk  about  daily  routines,  habits,  regular  activities  likes  &
                     dislikes.
                   Rules
                   •   We use the base form of the verb to form the present simple tense.
                   •   In general, in the third person singular the verb ends in ‘’-s’’.
                   •   We add ‘’-es’’ to verbs ending in ‘’ -o, ch, -sh, -ss, -x’’ or ‘’-z’’.                LEARN STEP BY STEP
                   •   Some verbs end in a consonant + -y. We remove the ‘’-y’’ and add ‘’-ies’’ in the third person singular.
                   •   We use ‘’Do’’ or ‘’Does’’ before the subject to make a question in the simple present tense.
                   •   We use ‘’do not / don’t’’ or ‘’does not / doesn’t’’ between the subject and the verb to make a
                     negative sentence.
