SIMPLE PAST TENSE
• We use the simple past tense to talk about completed actions in the past.
• We usually add ‘’-ed’’ to the end of regular verbs in positive sentences.
Examples: cook – cooked / watch – watched / play – played / walk - walked
• We do not add ‘’-ed’’ to the end of irregular verbs. They form differently in positive sentences.
• In questions and negative sentences, we use regular verbs and irregular verbs in basic forms.
