                   Was / Were
                    •  ‘’was’’ and ‘’were’’ are the past simple forms of the verb ‘’to be’’.
                    •  We use ‘’was’’ in the first person singular (I) and the third person singular (he, she, it). We use
                     ‘’were’’ in the second person singular and plural (you) and first and third person plural (we, they).
                    •  Study the table below.
